Getting certified with the Medical Cannabis Administration (MCA), formerly known as the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) has never been so easy. Let us help you through the steps. Feel free to contact us if you still have questions.

What is the process for becoming certified?
  • Register as a Patient with the Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) and receive an ID Number.
  • Receive an ID Card from the MCA.
  • Schedule a consultation with an MCA-Approved Provider and get certified.
  • Find a licensed Maryland dispensary and purchase your product.
What are some of the qualifying conditions?
  • anorexia
  • cachexia
  • generalized anxiety disorder
  • glaucoma
  • post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • seizures
  • severe nausea
  • severe or chronic pain
  • severe or persistent muscle spasms
  • wasting syndrome
  • or another chronic medical condition which is severe and for which other treatments have been ineffective
What will happen during the consultation?

A True Phoenix® provider will review your medical records, perform an evaluation, and provide you with written certification. Once approved, you will be certified to visit a dispensary the same day.

*You must have a qualifying condition to be certified.*

How much does the consultation cost?

The initial MCA consultation costs $125.  Recertifications for current patients is $75. *Seniors & Veterans receive A 10% discount.

What information do I need to provide?

You will need a photo ID and proof of your medical condition. Proof can include medical records, pill bottles, x-rays, prescriptions, doctor’s notes, etc.

Do you certify minors?

No. At this time, we do not provide written certifications for minors.
