Targeted Thyroid Care That Addresses More Than Just Your TSH
Thyroid Health Restored
You’d be surprised how often thyroid problems go undiagnosed or misunderstood. Fatigue, weight gain, anxiety, hair thinning, constipation, feeling cold all the time—these symptoms are often dismissed or treated separately, when in fact, they may all point to one root cause: your thyroid.
Whether you’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, suspect hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, or just know something feels off, the thyroid deserves a closer look. At True Phoenix®, we don’t stop at a “normal” TSH level and call it a day. We dig deeper, evaluating markers like Free T3, Free T4, reverse T3, thyroid antibodies, and more to get the full picture.
From there, we create a care plan that’s tailored to your needs—not just a standard dose of medication. Our Thyroid Optimization Program is built to help you stabilize energy, support metabolism, improve mood, and feel more in control of your health again.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Thyroid Optimization Program entail?
True Phoenix looks at all aspects of thyroid function – TSH, Free T3, T4, and thyroid antibodies. Many general practices often check the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) to determine if your thyroid is being managed. TSH levels do not tell the whole story. You can have a normal TSH and still have underlying Hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s Disease.
What can I expect from my first appointment?
Your first visit is considered the “Deep Dive Session” where Dr. Beatty, CRNP will go over your lab results, line by line, so you have an in-depth understanding of how your overall health is affecting your hormone status. Soon after, you will get a chance to discuss treatment options, wellness optimization, supplement recommendations, and collaborate on a plan of care. By the end of your appointment, you will have a clear understanding of our comprehensive BHRT program, how it will affect you, and what to expect going forward. All of your questions will be answered thoroughly and you will be one step closer to feeling like the best version of yourself. This appointment lasts about an hour.
Do I have to take medication from a compounding pharmacy?
Not always. In some cases, standard synthetic medications may be enough. However, our experience has shown that many patients benefit from the added flexibility and customization that compounded medications can offer, especially when standard options fall short. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss all available options with your provider and work together to create a treatment plan that fits your needs and comfort level.
How often will my labs be checked?
We typically check labs every few months in the beginning, then make adjustments based on how your body is responding. Our custom lab panels go beyond basic testosterone levels. We also monitor heart health, blood counts, and other important markers.
I was told that my labs are normal but I still feel terrible. How can you help me?
True Phoenix does not solely treat according to what’s “Normal”. We operate on “Optimal”! If you are still feeling terrible, that means that your labs are not optimal and need further investigation. Our deep dive analysis usually sheds light on the exact degree of your thyroid issue or if you are even on the right medication.
Can I use my health insurance for this program?
Yes, you can use your insurance if we are credentialed with your specific plan. We also offer flexible self-pay options for those without coverage or who prefer to pay out of pocket. Our team is happy to help you explore the best option for your situation.
My other provider says I shouldn't use NP Thyroid. What should I do?
It’s not uncommon for providers to have different opinions about thyroid medications. NP Thyroid is a natural desiccated thyroid (NDT) medication that contains both T4 and T3, and for many patients, it provides symptom relief when other treatments fall short. Like any medication, it comes with potential risks, but those risks are no greater than with synthetic thyroid options when used appropriately.
True Phoenix’s providers base their recommendations on science, lab results, and how patients actually feel—not just standard protocols. NP Thyroid may not be right for everyone, but it can be a valuable part of a treatment plan for those who don’t respond well to T4-only medications.
Ultimately, the decision is yours. Our job is to give you the best evidence-based guidance and support so you can choose what works best for your body and your life.

Testimonials
What Our Patients Are Saying
I used to take biotin for my hair and nails, but didn’t see long-term results. I joined the thyroid optimization program for completely different issues, but, after just a few months, my hair is thicker and my nails are stronger than ever. I never expected these benefits but I’m grateful for them.
I had no idea my thyroid was affecting so many parts of my life. I think it even affected my “intimate moments”. Since starting the thyroid optimization program, I feel like myself again. My energy is back, my sleep is better, and I’m finally losing weight after years of trying everything.
Dr. Beatty, CRNP put me on NP Thyroid, and I must say, I finally felt like a human again. Then my PCP suggested I stop taking it. I listened and started feeling awful within days. I restarted the medication and am finally improving. Lesson learned: trust the team that actually listens and gets results.
