Telehealth Policy

Our policy at True Phoenix Community Care®, hereinafter referred to as True Phoenix® is to provide telehealth as an option for health care service delivery to enhance access in ways that are convenient, safe, and equitable for our patients.

1. Introduction

True Phoenix embraces the advancements in medical technology and offers telehealth services, enabling patients to consult with our healthcare providers remotely. This policy outlines our telehealth practices and procedures.

2. Definition of Telehealth

Telehealth involves the use of electronic communications, software, and technology to provide and deliver a broad range of patient care services remotely. This includes health assessments, diagnosis, interventions, consultations, and patient education.

3. Technology Standards

  • All telehealth sessions will be conducted using secure, encrypted, and HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure patient privacy and data security.
  • Patients will require a stable internet connection, a computer or mobile device with a camera, microphone, and speakers.

4. Scheduling and Consultations

  • Patients can schedule telehealth consultations through our online portal or by contacting our office directly.
  • It’s the patient’s responsibility to ensure they’re in a private location during the session to maintain confidentiality.

5. Informed Consent

  • Prior to initiating a telehealth consultation, patients will be informed about the process, potential risks, benefits, and any alternatives to telehealth.
  • Patients will need to provide explicit consent to participate in telehealth sessions.

6. Medical Records

  • All telehealth consultations will be documented and stored in the patient’s medical record, similar to in-person visits.
  • Recordings of sessions will only be made with the explicit consent of the patient.

7. Billing and Payment

  • Telehealth consultations might be billed differently than in-person visits. Patients are encouraged to check with their insurance provider regarding coverage.
  • Co-payments or fees for telehealth services are due at the time of the consultation.

8. Limitations

  • While telehealth is convenient, it might not be suitable for all medical conditions or emergencies.
  • If our healthcare provider determines that an in-person consultation is necessary, the patient will be advised accordingly.

9. Privacy and Security

  • True Phoenix is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of all telehealth communications.
  • We employ state-of-the-art security measures, and all data transmitted during telehealth sessions is encrypted.

10. Feedback and Complaints

  • We value patient feedback on our telehealth services. If you have suggestions or complaints, please reach out to our Medical Administration Department at:
